Multiple reasons why the ‘Low Season’ is by far my preference, mainly it is the fact that the golf courses are much quieter and also much more financially viable to play. Or cheaper!
So here we all were, ready to nip up the road to Bangpra with 9 groups. After a quick book-in we got away on what was a lovely day. The fairways were well grassed and a breeze blew that just cooled you down nicely. The greens were slower than normal and were a bit soft underfoot.
We only had a single flight and the winner with 36 points was Dave Cooper ahead of Rita Zoebeli in second with 34. Andre Van Dyk took third with 33 points and we then had a count-back on 32 points that saw John Davis in fourth and Dick Warberg fifth.
The non-winners best front nine came from Nigel Perry and back nine by Bob Britton.
