Area livestock officials checked milk quality at a Sriracha school following news reports about spoiled milk being served to schoolkids.
Chonburi livestock officer Phot Sitnanukrit and Sriracha department counterpart Chawana Thongyen visited Darasamutr School June 13, one of numerous random checks Chonburi is doing at provincial schools following the televised scandal.
News reports showed how milk served to Thai school children was spoiled even though the expiration date on the cartons had not passed. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives ordered random checks nationwide to ensure kids were receiving only fresh, drinkable milk.
Darasamutr Principal Chatchawal Inthusophon said the school strictly checks all milk shipments to ensure they are safe for students.
The livestock officers found that all the milk at the school was not past its expiration and the liquid inside was fresh and drinkable.
