Pattaya residents, government workers and students cleaned the city’s beach to honor HM the King for his birthday.

Mayor Anan Charoenchasri began the July 25 event with a ceremony in front of a portrait of HM the King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun at the Central Road intersection before splitting the group to clean the northern and southern halves of Pattaya Beach.

Volunteers picked up trash and city workers followed with a sifting machine to turn up the beach.

Anan said the effort was a good deed in honor of the King and a way to show loyalty and appreciation on his July 28 birthday.
