Chonburi hosted an Eastern Innovation Fair to spur industrial development in nine provinces.

Gov. Pakarathorn Thienchai opened the Aug. 22-26 event at the provincial hall. The Chonburi Office of Commercial Affairs organized the exhibition to propel innovative products in processed food and agriculture, health, tourism, household goods and decoration to increase distribution.

Office Director Preamanee Subchokchai said products were both exhibited and sold at the fair’s 200 booths, both retail and wholesale.

Among the innovative products were riceberry coffee, products made from cassava rhizome, latex pillows, automotive dual-fuel systems, oxidizing agents, road safety equipment, coin-operated car-washing machines, and fire-extinguishing balls.

Among food items were larb seasoning mix, ready-to-eat Thai beef stew, extracted mangosteen and bananas with sticky rice by Mae Napa.

Décor innovations included colored, mirrored fish tanks, “lucky boats”, natural microbia and enzyme products, water disinfectants, mosquito pads, black hair cream and more.

The event also featured stage shows, celebrity appearances, art exhibits and lectures.
