Students attending the Redemptorist Technological College for People with Disabilities here in Pattaya recently traveled up to Bangkok to take part in the annual ‘Accessible Learning Hackathon 2018’ competition where they were rated as the underdogs.

The four second year students, Tawan, Ting, Beer and Tle, competed against final year degree students from established universities such as Thammasart and Burapha Universities and the King Mongkhut Institute of Technology.

They were not expected to win, but they surprised everyone by beating all teams and returning to Pattaya with a trophy donated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

All four students will graduate at the end of September, and they, as with all graduating students, will have employment when they leave.
