A Pattaya burglar discovered it’s hard to run from the law with two broken legs.

Chanarong Thongngam, 41, was captured by police in a wooded area near Kho Karat Village where he collapsed after allegedly robbing a home there Sept. 14.

Police recovered a flat-screen television, 14 gold amulets and a silver bracelet.

Police said Chanarong confessed to the burglary, saying he slipped on the rain-slickened second-story roof and fell to the ground, badly hurting both his legs and ankles. He crawled into the woods in hopes of escaping once he recovered.

He was taken to jail in a wheelchair.
