Well we were due to play Parichat GC today, a course that did so much to entice us back every month, free meals, free beer kind and respectful staff. Well that was pulled up with a bump as they raised the prices without warning so we transferred to Emerald instead for a much better deal.
We 14 golfers take part on a course in great condition given the rain we had had in the Pattaya area over the last week or so. We attacked from the white tees and played one division with 3 places and all novelties in play.
Talk about a log-jam at the top of the leaderboard, we had 3 golfers all with a very good score of 38 points. So of to the count back we went and Yarnni got the nod over Rudy Regenass in second and Brendan Cope third.
Thursday, Sept. 27, Crystal Bay – Medal
1st Patrick Poussier (30) net 70
2nd Mashi Kaneta (18) net 72
3rd Glenn Henriksen (11) net 74

A very disappointing field (numbers wise) set out to have a crack at this month’s monthly mug. Crystal Bay was the place for today’s event and we received more complaints about this course than about any other over the last 6 months. The fairways had been mowed whilst wet, leaving clumps of mud with little grass if any on parts and the greens had been cored, making putting near impossible.
We played B & C nines from the white tees with just one division and three places to shoot for. Patrick Poussier returned the best score of the day and his net 70 gave him first place 2 strokes clear from his nearest rival. Second home was Mashi Kaneta, with Glenn Henriksen filling the last spot on the podium.
