Sanitation workers spent four days cleaning out Pattaya’s storm drains and sewers to relive flooding problems.
Work crews spread out across the city Oct. 16-19, clearing clogged sewers on the railway-parallel road close to the Nernrodfai Community, Soi Nong Yai in front of Nong Yai Temple, and Sukhumvit sois 8, 45 and 53, in Charoensuk Village and on Pratamnak Soi 6.
Lastly, they fixed clarifiers and damaged sewer lids in Soi Wat Boonkanjanaram near Jomtien Second Road, on the railway road close to Nernrodfai, in Rungland Village, on Sukhumvit Soi 60 and at the intersection of Second Road and Soi Diana.
Other drainage trough lids and mesh were repaired on Soi 13/1 and 13/2 at Second Road and Sawangfah Road in front of Naklua New Market.
New drainage channels were dug on Naklua Road beside the Pik Plub pumping station, while sediment was scraped out of drainage pipes on Sukhumvit Road, Soi 9, and at the 80-rai waste water treatment pond.
Finally new sewer covers were laid at the Naklua New Market, wastewater pond, Rungland Village and Pratamnak Soi 6.
