Pattaya Swim Club crowned 2013 aqua champs

The 10th Pattaya Youth Swimming competition was held over the weekend Feb. 16-17 at the Pattaya School No. 11 and attracted hundreds of junior swimmers from around the region, all with their minds firmly set on glory.

The tournament was divided into male and female categories with age groups ranging from 7-15 years and 16 years and above.  A total of 194 separate races were held over the course of the weekend and winners of each classification received certificates and medals.

After the final race had been held and all the points had been added together, the team with the greatest tally was found to be the Pattaya Swimming Club with 467 points.  The team was presented with the champions’ trophy for this year along with 7,000 baht in prize money.  Second place went to the Sathit Phibunbamphen swimming squad from Burapha University with a total of 428 points and in third place was the Praphassorn Vitthaya team with 339 points.

The event was sanctioned and judged by the national Thailand Swimming Association.
