Nepal, 27th November 2018, The Ninety monks ordained in tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of the Ninth Reign and His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn have now gone on a pilgrimage to Nepal to visit holy sites there.
The entourage earlier ended their pilgrimage to holy sites in India and continued their journey to Nepal.
The group also visited the site in the city of Kushinagar in India where Buddha relics have been divided. The relics were divided into eight pieces and were presented to various heads of state before the holy artifacts were distributed to different parts of the world.
The 90 monks later attending a Kathina merit ceremony and donated the proceeds from the event to Wat Thai Kushinagar Chalarmraj . According to the Thai monks, the pilgrimage has strengthened their belief in Buddhism.
The monks then traveled to Nepal to visit the Royal Thai Monastery Lumbini and attended another Kathina ceremony there.
