Sports industry professionals from around the world attended the 2018 SPIA Asia Sports Industry Awards & Conference at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre on November 20.
Pattana Golf Club & Resort in Chonburi won two awards at the gala ceremony. The Pattana (C55) Kids Triathlon series received the Silver award for the Best Youth Sports Development Program in Thailand and the Pattana Sport Club won a Bronze award for the Best Sports Event Venue in Thailand.
Eric M. Gottschalk, CEO of MMC Sportz, organizer of the event, commented: “The standard of entries has gotten better every year and this truly reflects the strength and depth in Asia’s sports industry. We have seen professionally operated independent events and organizations alongside some of the biggest brands in the industry, and this is very encouraging for everyone in sports in Asia.”
Within Asia there were over 47 countries who applied for the 22 category awards this year from over 400 sport sectors.
