The Thai Garden Resort and the Pattaya City Fire Department conducted their annual fire prevention training on Thursday, December 6. The objectives of the training are to enhance the knowledge of the Thai Garden employees on how to use the different fire extinguishers in the right way for different kinds of fire, and how to avoid dangerous situations, plus the safe handling of dangerous equipment, such as gas bottles or electric devices.
This was all conducted in the morning session from 9 am until 1pm. The training was supported by a PowerPoint presentation from the Fire Department using the exciting “learning by doing” motto.
In the afternoon, the Fire Services Department deployed a brigade of fire commanders for an actual hands-on session. The Fire Department started actual fires caused by gas and by gasoline. Huge flames and dark clouds covered the car park training area. Males and females employees alike had to stand the heat and attack the fire at the source with fire extinguishers to ensure they are able to handle real life situations.
At 4 p.m., the training was completed and besides soaking up a lot of helpful information and many new experiences, it was a lot of fun for everyone. As always, we are grateful to have the support and assistance from the Pattaya City Fire Department for these training events.
