In the picturesque part of Pattaya, the multi-award winning Royal Cliff Hotels Group has been a hospitality landmark for more than four decades and has recently undertaken a major makeover to reflect Thailand’s heritage.
The revamp brought back the talent and ingenuity of Duangrit Bunnag, the world-renowned architect who once again oversaw the construction and design of new features aptly geared to transcend generations.
Upon arrival, a newly remodeled entrance and driveway features a circular water feature, wooden structural frames, new lighting and landscaping.
The feature, which creates a circular curtain of water, is visually striking, especially at night. This peaceful setting along with better logistics and more space will allow visitors to experience a much warmer welcome than before.
The new lobby interior features sweeping arches, natural stone floors and giant columns clad in wood.
The lobby design draws inspiration from the surrounding environment highlighted by curving wave patterns that extend more than 50 meters high towards the ceiling.
The soaring space is crowned by 3 gorgeous chandeliers. Natural wood and stone were the predominant materials used throughout the entire space.
Three custom-designed, circular, translucent counters mark the hotel’s entrance where guests are greeted with modern reception, concierge and bellhop counters with illuminating light features within.
Finally, a new water feature spotlights the statue of Phra Apai Mani, a charming prince with a magical flute who is Royal Cliff’s symbol of passion, love, strength and charisma.
The Lobby Bar & Bakery features minimalist décor, plush and comfortable seating and wide floor-to-ceiling glass windows. This area has been transformed into a more-contemporary look, overlooking the pool area.
The hotel’s reconstruction further extends to the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel’s mini suites and new Ocean Deluxe. Rooms have been repainted and refurbished with new bathroom fixtures, while the Ocean Deluxe features a modern design with its white and sandy tan accents, marble bathroom and amenities.
Guests can also dine at the newly refurbished Panorama Pool View and Sea View. Designed to provide a warm and relaxing ambience, the old structures were stripped off and knocked down enabling a new modern look.
Guests can enjoy the new sleek minimalist interior, higher ceiling and brighter walls. By incorporating natural materials and reflective light colors, natural light in the room is maximized and creates the illusion of a larger space. The use of gray granite and marble counters add a modern-looking touch. In case of events, the beauty and functionality of the restaurant lies in its flexibility.
With seven swimming pools in the property, guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing where to take a relaxing dip at the Royal Cliff.
Offering a respite to the tropical heat, the new swimming pool at Fitz Club – Racquets, Health & Fitness has been transformed to give an Amazon vibe.
This new free-form facility integrates the natural elements of the surrounding landscape complete with natural stones and sprinklers.
The Royal Cliff is also a popular choice for meetings, incentives, exhibitions, weddings and special events with its more than 13,000 sq. meters of available meeting space.
It has received the MICE Venue Standard Certificate issued by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and the TTG Hall of Fame award for Best Convention Hotel which recognizes its impressive facilities and amazing service.
Newly designed interiors portray the delicate balance between muted colors and fresh cream hues after the extensive redesign. The entire space has mobile partitions that provide flexibility to transform it into two smaller sections with dedicated entrances.
It boasts a satellite kitchen attached for food and beverage operations and a new spacious foyer for coffee breaks and pre-function cocktails.
Finally, Royal Cliff Beach Hotel’s new Business Center and the Beautique Beauty Salon were also inspired by the same elements used throughout the new lobby and entrance. Both structures were knocked down and refurbished.
