Children and adults both competed for top honors as Pattaya School No. 2 hosted the 18th Pattaya Petanque Tournament.
Pradith Thongchai, head of sports development for the city’s Tourism Promotion Department, handed out trophies from the Dec. 7-9 tourney organized to promote and develop Pattaya’s petanque athletes.
The Chark Klang team won the under-15 petanque bracket with the Sum Hukwang 2 and 1 teams coming in second and third, respectively.
In the public open bracket 1, the SNB 1 team took tops honors, followed by SNB 3 and the Lady JJ Nakhon Sri Thammarat team. The Public 2 category was won by the BM 2 team, with the Dek Wat and Sei Aut teams placing second and third.
In the women’s division, the top three teams were SNB 5, Rong Posaithong 1 and SBB 3. In the men’s bracket it was Je Ya 3, Pa Ann and Sei Tel 2.
In the mixed-doubles category, the Kik Ka Du 7 team took first followed the SNB and Samyan teams.
