We had fourteen turning out today for the challenge of King Naga. This course has a cult following – either you love it or you hate it. We attacked from the white tees (app 6,700m) and the course was in not to bad a condition, a little dry in places but overall the fairways were fine. The bunkers were also tidy and had been raked but the greens were a bit on the slow side.
Keith Buchanan fought off a challenge from Dave Maw, both returning with 32 points so it was off to the countback and Kissy got the nod with the better back-nine. Taking third spot and the final place on the podium was Colin Stielow, just a solitary point off the pace.

Two buses and a couple of cars were required to deliver us for today’s challenge, the December Monthly Mug at Pattavia, a stroke-play event.
Playing on this course was a pleasure and there was not a lot to find fault with. Greens were normal for this course (that means if you are not pin high on certain holes you can end up in trouble), the bunkers were clean and raked and it appeared that a lot of work had been done, all for the better.
We attacked this fine course from the yellow tees and twenty-four golfers gave us the opportunity to play two flights will all novelties in play.
A flight saw Mashi Kaneta take first place from Don Richardson via the countback system and both golfers returned with 69 net, a great effort. In third was Martin Kempton a solitary stroke behind the leaders.
B Flight was not as close as Patrick Poussier posted the score of the day and too k the Monthly Mug with a net 67. Second home was JC Lhoste making it a French Quinella. To complete the trio it was Shane Young.
