Thailand’s national police chief gave suffering Plutaluang police officers a little relief, presenting them with 300,000 baht to complete the long-delayed construction of a new station.
Gen. Adul Saengsingkaew visited the Plutaluang construction site March 16, giving officers permission to rent a house to use as a temporary station and presenting them with cash to get work started again.
Gen. Adul Saengsingkaew (arm extended) visits the Plutaluang construction site, which still has a long way to go before it is ready.
Plutaluang is just one of many police stations stalled by problems with the Royal Thai Police’s contractor, which publicly blamed the weather for delays. However, problems began before and have continued after the rain fell.
Despite working out of house, police have to continue to serve the public, which relies on them, Adul said.
