Sunday, March 24,Mountain Shadow – Stableford
An extremely hot day today at Mountain Shadow and I think the heat got to our golfers as the scoring was very poor. Everyone finished badly and some of them even gave up before the end.
Joe McArdle won again today with 32pts, even with three blanks on the last holes. Joe won our three outings the previous week at Mountain Shadow, Green Valley and Laem Chabang and this made it four in a row.

Frank McGowan was second today with 30 points and he also blanked the last holes.
Back in O’Garas Bar and Restaurant we said goodbye to Andy Galvin who was returning home to Ireland after having spent the winter here. Good Luck Andy, I hope you don’t die from the cold over there!

Tuesday, March 26,Khao Kheow -Stableford
If you are going to win five in a row then do it in style and today at Khao Kheow Joe McArdle did exactly that with an excellent 43pts on what is probably the most difficult course of them all. That was Joe’s fifth win in as many days but after that he would get a sharp reduction in his handicap and he won’t find it as easy to win again.
Frank McGowan was second again today, seven points behind with 36.
It was extremely hot once more but neither Joe nor Frank let the heat get to them. Again today there were no 2’s.

Thursday, March 28, Laem Chabang – Stableford
We were back at Laem Chabang today where for a change from the past few weeks we played A and B courses. Another very hot day but the heat didn’t stop Jens Gunnarsson bringing in an excellent score of 41pts and winning by a clear 6. In second place in his first game with us was Neil Skilton with 35pts. Neil relegated Joe Peters into third place on a count back as Joe also had 35.
Sadly, back in O’Garas Bar and Restaurant in The Tara Court, we had to say goodbye to Ted Murphy who I think has played in almost every game with us since we started. Safe journey Ted to both yourself and Kay and see you at the end of the year.
