Bangkok – The government has published a book on the royal coronation ceremony along with accompanying explanations to assist the public’s understanding.
The guidebook includes the history of the coronation, a summary of events and useful information, such as past royal decrees, the regalia, ceremonial sites, temples for blessing holy water and sites in each province where water is collected for blessing. The guidebook is available in English and Thai to schools, libraries and government agencies to educate the public on the procedures and significance of this national event.
The coronation committee has also tasked the Ministry of Culture with publishing information on the coronation, such as the procedures and specific vocabulary to inspire interest in the country’s longstanding royal traditions.
