Bangkok – The Election Commission (EC) has been readied to hold advance voting for those registered who will be barred from casting their vote on 24 March.

EC Secretary General Jarungvith Phumma said the EC has made significant preparations for advance voting on 17 March, with 385 polling units to open for that.

The EC has coordinated with police to provide security measures and facilitation at all polling units and has delivered ballots to those overseas.

The EC secretary general reminded those who may have registered for advance voting will have to cast their ballot on 17 March only and they will not be allowed to vote on 24 March, even if they may eventually fail to cast their ballot in advance.
