BOI to welcome South Korean investors

Bangkok – The Board of Investment (BOI) will welcome a group of 30 South Korean investors to Thailand this month to study the country’s economic potential and business opportunities. They will also seek business partners in the automotive and machine industries and sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to push forward joint investments with Changwon city, South Korea.

BOI Deputy Secretary-General, Narit Therdsteerasukdi, said the executives and business operators from 20 companies in Changwon will visit Thailand on March 13th and 14th, 2019.

Narit said most of them are chief executive officers (CEOs) of small and medium-sized enterprises in the automotive and machine industries.

During their visit, the BOI Secretary-General and the Mayor of Changwon, Huh Sung-moo, will sign an MOU to organize activities and support joint investments of both parties. A seminar to introduce Thai investment promotion policies and a business matching event will also be arranged.
