CP All takes over Siam Makro

BANGKOK, April 23 – CP All Plc, operator of Thailand’s largest convenience store chain 7-Eleven, today officially announced its Bt120 billion investment to acquire Siam Makro Plc, the Dutch-originated cash and carry wholesaler.

CP All, a subsidiary of the Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group, offered to purchase 64.5 per cent of Siam Makro’s shares at Bt787 per unit or a total of Bt121.5 billion.

CP All’s board of directors also agreed to make a tender offer to other shareholders at the same price.

The Securities Exchange of Thailand put up SP signs on CP All Plc and Siam Makro Plc owned by SHV Holdings NV in the stock market since yesterday.
