Three people were shot when an argument broke out during Nongprue’s Songkran finale.
Saman Tummee, 47, was shot twice in the leg; Rewat Salubsri, 28, once in the side and arm, and once in the leg; and Nattapong Wongkaew, 22, twice in the leg in the April 18 shootout at the Chaknok Reservoir.
They were admitted to local hospitals for treatment.
Witness Thitima Changklay, 23, said she was at home when a friend called to say her brother had been attacked. So she called friends to go to the lake to help him. When the group arrived, a rival group fired off 10 shots, hitting three of their party.
With the area packed with youths for Nongprue’s “wan lai” water festival day, police were unable to identify the shooters.
