Nongprue organized training for volunteers tasked with protecting, monitoring and helping children.
The subdistrict’s Social Welfare Department hosted the June 1 workshop featuring lecturers from Friends-International Thailand who discussed children’s rights, different kinds of abuse, preventing domestic violence, dangers of drugs, health care, sexually transmitted diseases and even alien labor rules and road safety.
Seminar participants brainstormed how to aid at-risk children and learned about the ChildSafe Movement.
