1st Shaun Merriman (11) 36pts
2nd Paul Butler (16) 36pts
3rd Jack Grinvold (3) 35pts
4th Pete Seil (5) 35pts
The day at Green Valley was just perfect for golf. We had a small group again and only one flight.
Shaun Merriman kept up his steady golf of late and was the winner with thirty-six points. Paul Butler also had thirty-six but he lost out on the countback to Shaun and had to settle for second place. We also had a countback for the next two places and here Jack Grinvold won out and he came third ahead of Pete Seil, both with thirty five points.
We had two 2’s today, from Shaun Merriman and Jack Grinvold with one each.
Tuesday, July 2, Pattavia – Stableford
A small group out today and the greens here at Pattavia were a bit slower than normal, but still hard if you were above the hole. It was tight scoring today and coming out on top was Russell Gilroy (H/cap 16) with a fine 37 points. There were 3 players on 35 points and here a great sand save for a par on the last got Ted Morris (17) the second place on the podium. Craig Hitchens (13) holed a treacherous downhill putt, also on 18, for par to take third place, leaving Shaun Merriman (11) out of the prizes. No one managed a 2 today.
