A discussion took place today between Thai government agencies and Japanese private companies on the promotion of SMEs, with the goal of generating 600 million baht in investment value from business negotiations, as well as promoting recycling projects.
The Minister of Industry, Suriya Juangroongruangkit, held talks with SME Support Japan (SMRJ) Chairman and CEO Atsushi Toyonaga, on ways to reinforce trade and industrial cooperation between the countries by improving the capabilities of all types of industries, especially SMEs.
Both countries have been exchanging knowledge on SME development through activities and campaigns, which have generated some 300 million baht in investments from business matching deals. The discussions today signify that good relations between the two sides will lead to a further expansion of cooperation, with the goal of raising the investment value of business matching deals to 600 million baht.
The Minister of Industry then attended a discussion with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization’s (NEDO) Chairman Hiroaki Ishizuka, on the possibility of transferring technical knowledge on energy saving.
