BANGKOK, 4 June 2013 The Commerce Ministry has revealed after conducting a survey throughout Bangkok that prices of vegetables are in line with the ministry’s price-cap regulation.
The latest survey shows that prices of most vegetables sold in Bangkok are still stable, except for string bean, which has dropped from an average of 42-45 baht to 32-35 baht per kilogram.
Chinese kales cost around 30-32 baht per kilo, morning glory is at 140-150 baht per kilo, cabbages are 15-18 baht, and scallions cost around 70-80 baht per kilo.
Size-2 chicken eggs cost 3.8-3.9 baht each, while size-3 ones are sold at 3.65-3.75 baht apiece.
Chickens in the market cost 70-75 baht, while the price of pork is still in line with the ministry’s suggested price of 123 baht per kilogram.
