BANGKOK, 5 June 2013 (NNT) – Many people and farmers from all over Thailand have traveled to Bangkok to visit the National Rice and Farmers’ Day event held at the Rice Department.
The exhibition will be held at the Rice Department in Bangkhaen district, Bangkok, until Friday. There are 8 different areas inside the exhibition. The objective of this event is to honor rice farmers and raise the importance of rice.
Visitors can learn about His Majesty the King’s initiatives and contributions to the Thai farmers, as well as researches on rice, technology, rice species and many others at the event. One area within the exhibition has also been turned into a market that sells various products made from rice.
A demonstration of how rice is harvested is also performed at the exhibition. Several visitors said it is very educational for younger people to learn about the traditional Thai way of producing rice.
