PSC golf from Rendezvous Resort
Tuesday, June 4, Phoenix – Stableford
First off on Tuesday was the long-awaited return for a game at Phoenix, where we had not played since last year. The Lake & Ocean were the allotted combination, at a whisker over 6,200 yards from the white tees.
After a scratch on the Lake 1st, it was Jeff Wylie (7) leading the way with 38 points, well clear of local Phoenix resident Graham Briggs (25) with 34. Jeff was striking the ball pretty well after his early hiccup and also bagged 2 near pins, while Tom also got amongst the prizes.
Thursday, June 6, Khao Kheow – Stableford
Thursday was the quick return, with Khao Kheow A & C re-visited after the previous week’s high rate of success there. Not quite the case score-wise this week, but again a high proportion of single figure golfers, with 6 players under 10 handicap.
It was our lowest marker, Paul Smith (2), showing how it should be done with a creditable 37 points. He led marker Colin Quinlan (9) with 34, while Jeff Wylie (7) snuck in on 31 points. Near pins were won by Willem, Paul & Colin scoring 2.
Note: Rendezvous Resort, Restaurant & Bar plays golf generally on Tuesday & Thursday, with the bar hosting prompt presentations on both days.
