The 21st Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia and 16th Corporate Travel World Asia-Pacific meetings will be held jointly Oct. 1-3 at the Bangkok Convention Center at Central World Bangkok.

Hyped as the world’s only double-billed trade show for the MICE sector, the convention has been held in Thailand for 12 years, including one year in Pattaya.

Waraporn Sornprom, senior marketing manager for the TCEB, said the pre-show briefing is held each year to spur attendance and explain to local travel buyers and sellers of the networking and sales opportunities available.

“This conference also features a presentation of new ideas from experienced personnel in the MICE industry, such as Darren Ng, managing director of TTG Asia Media, who is the organizer of the event and other trade shows in Asia,” Waraporn said.

Marina Chinanurakchart, director of sales and marketing meeting planning, said TCEB’s cooperation with the private sector has been essential in developing the MICE sector in Thailand. She said the agency has sponsored marketing plans to open markets, educated operators and management, and helped them earn the maximum revenues from MICE events.

More than 2,500 people are expected to attend the dual meetings, with 300 sellers and 500 buyers. Exhibitors will be able to showcase their latest products and services and do business with international and regional MICE buyers, corporate travel managers and luxury travel buyers. MICE and luxury-travel buyers can create packages from a diverse range of MICE and luxury travel products and services on offer.
