US Health & Human Services Secretary and Prime Minister Yingluck discuss public health development issues

BANGKOK, 19th June 2013 Kathleen Sebelius, the US Health & Human Services Secretary, has met with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at the parliament building to discuss means of cooperation in public health development issues. 

Kathleen expressed her joy for being able to visit Thailand and to discuss many issues concerning public health with Prime Minister Yingluck, which included a joint public health reform to control contagious diseases between Thailand and the USA and surrounding countries, and AIDS prevention development. Child health and general public health for a longer life expectancy were also discussed and will be implemented with close cooperation.

The Prime Minister also talked about her upcoming trip to the US to further discuss a number of issues between the two partners.
