A Bangkok man was seriously injured when he drove his Mazda pickup into a drainage canal.
Samanchai Sangchai, 28, was rushed to Queen Sirikit Naval Medical Center following the Nov. 19 crash on Sukhumvit Road at the Sattahip junction.
Police speculated that Samanchai fell asleep at the wheel and his truck plunged into the three-meter-deep canal in the center island and smashed into the opposite wall. The BT50 was totaled.
