CHIANG MAI – In Chiang Mai, the Wua Lai community is organizing the 2nd Chiang Mai Silverware and Lacquerware Festival.
At Sri Suphan Temple, in Muang Chiang Mai district of Chiang Mai province, OTOP entrepreneurs are selling silver and lacquer ware at the 2nd Thai Silverware and Lacquer Ware Festival, organized by Chiang Mai, the Si Suphan Temple Community, the Muen San Temple Community, the Nantharam Temple Community, the private sector and local administrative organizations as part of the Wua Lai Community Best Product Fair, to promote local silverware, lacquer ware and Lanna arts and culture.
There are also other activities, such as listening to Lanna Mahachat sermons, New Year’s Eve chanting and Lanna art and cultural performances.
The event will run until January 1, 2020. In the morning of New Year’s Day, there will be a ceremony to create a silver Bodhi to mark the coronation of His Majesty the King.
