Pattaya joined in the round of applause being given to medical personnel on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic by clapping from their porches and balconies for five minutes.

The #ClapForOurCarers campaign began in the West with quarantined Londoners clapping from 8 to 8:05 p.m. to show appreciation for the sacrifice of doctors, nurses and volunteers who are falling sick themselves at breakneck speed as they treat victims of Covid-19.

On Soi Khao Noi on March 29, people stepped out of their houses, apartments and convenience stores and shops to clap for five minutes.
