Pattaya’s police chief did his part for the city’s struggling populace by making fried rice for the masses.

Pol. Col. Khemmarin Pissamai was dressed as a chef, not police superintendent, while his top deputies played waiters, taking orders from people who lined up for the free food. The ingredients were paid for by the Pattaya Police Station, as well as others who donated cash to the effort.

People were allowed to eat at the station, although officers enforced strict social distancing, offering only 10 tables spaced appropriately. Everyone also had to have their temperatures checked and use hand sanitizer. Those waiting in line also had to observe proper distancing.
