Two people were hurt when a drunk hardware-store clerk fell asleep driving his motorcycle in Sattahip.

Taveesak Charoenphon, 23, sustained a concussion and passenger Netthida Moonrata, 20, suffered cuts and bruises in the July 20 crash into a traffic island on Sukhumvit Road opposite Thammasirisuksa School.

Both were treated at Queen Sirikit Naval Medical Center.

Netthida said she and Taveesak work at a Home Pro store in Bang Saray and had gone drinking after work and then to a party. She said her coworker was sleepy on the drive home.
