CHIANG MAI, 10 October 2013  – Chiang Mai officials are busy preparing for Saturday’s visit by Chinese prime Minister Li Keqiang, who will have his dinner hosted at the Royal Park Ratchaphruek horticultural complex.

Mr. Li will board an airplane to Chiang Mai on Saturday evening, after spending the earlier part of the day launching an exhibition on China’s high-speed trains at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. After arriving in the northern province, he will join Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at a dinner hosted by the Thai government at Royal Park Ratchaphruek.

On Sunday, Mr. Li and Ms. Yingluck will visit the OTOP products distribution center for Chiang Mai, located in San Kamphaeng district. The Chinese prime minister will then board a plane to Vietnam.

The Chinese premiere will be in Chiang Mai primarily to observe the OTOP projects there.

In addition to the work in progress to beautify Royal Park Ratchaphruek for the occasion, the police are busy installing CCTV cameras to ensure the highest level of safety during the Chinese premiere’s visit.
