Re: Same old horse new jockey (PM Mailbag Friday, 20 September 2013) – The “White Australia Policy” was abandoned in the 1970’s. However when you go overseas there are only 11 countries where reciprocal health care is available. Not one of these countries is Asia nor Asia Minor. Hip replacement in Australia may take months but go to Finland or any one of these countries and you are “home and hosed” in no time. Don’t go to the US, as you are not covered.
