BANGKOK 21 October 2013 Prime Minister and Minister of Defense today held a conference with security-related agencies to prepare for the International Court of Justice’s verdict on the Phra Viharn case.
Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Yingluck Shinawatra presided over the conference held at the Ministry of Defense regarding the International Court of Justice (ICJ)’s verdict on Phra Viharn case, slated for November 11.
Armed force commanders, security agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a legal team attended the conference, during which the armed force commanders reported the current situation along the Thai – Cambodia border, followed by a discussion with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs elucidated its planned defence against Cambodia’s complaint to the ICJ asking the body to interpret the meaning of the 1962 verdict.
