Sanctuary of Truth to hold 5-religion royal ceremony Dec. 9

The Sanctuary of Truth will host a five-religion ceremony for people of all faiths to express their devotion to Their Majesties the King and Queen.

Manager Noppadol Phetrat said the Dec. 9 ceremony for followers of Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hindu and Sikh lets people express their loyalty to the royal couple and engenders harmony and unity among people nationwide.

Privy Councillor Pichit Kullavanijaya will preside over the ceremony where 199 monks will accept alms, rice, and dried food starting at 6:30 a.m. Activities will continue throughout the day with members of all five faiths performing religious activities together.
