Prime Minister requests royal permission for return of draft amendment

BANGKOK, 8 December 2013 The Secretariat of the House of Representatives has submitted a letter to the Secretariat of the Cabinet requesting the return of the 3rd draft of an amendment to the 2013 Thai constitution. 

According to Theerat Rattanasewi, the spokesperson to the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has since December 2 sought royal permission for the return of the draft amendment and requested royal pardon for inconveniencing His Majesty the King.

Mr. Theerat added that he received the news of the event on December 8 and informed the media accordingly. However, proceedings to request the return of the draft amendment were initiated on December 2.
