Quick action by patrol officers nabbed a pair of suspected handbag snatchers in central Pattaya.
Pheeranat Ditbanjong, 21, of Sattahip, and Surasak Bunsaeng, 23, of Ubon Ratchathani were apprehended Dec. 7 as they tried to flee down Third Road from the site of the robbery on Soi Diana Inn.
Police recovered a bag containing 4,940 baht and a mobile phone.
Police said both men confessed to the theft. Pheeranat said he needed money to support his 4-year-old child while Surasak, an employee at a Sunee Plaza gay bar, said he needed money to party.
Pheeranat Ditbanjong and Surasak Bunsaeng have been arrested for bag snatching.
