BANGKOK, 19 Dec 2013 The Airport Authority of Thailand (AOT) has moved ticket booths on the 4th floor of Suvarnabhumi Airport to the 6th floor, in its bid to offer bigger areas for the increasing number of passengers.

Ms. Weerawan Netarakavessana, Director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, stated that the decision to relocate the ticket booths was made to accommodate a rising number of passengers during October to March, the nation’s high season. Suvarnabhumi sees more than 130,000 visitors daily during the period.

In order to accommodate the growing number of passengers, the airport has relocated ticket booths located in front of the passenger hall on the 4th floor to the eastern and western wings of the passenger hall on the 6th floor.

She said that the move would provide an additional space of 900 square meters to the departing passenger hall and should ease the congestion in the area to a certain extent.
