PM on official visits to Nong Khai and Loei provinces

NONG KHAI, 23 December 2013 The Prime Minister is following up on progress in the Customs House project at the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge in Nong Khai Province and inspecting public health conditions in Loei Province. 

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and Cabinet members inspected the services provided by the State Railway of Thailand for the public between Udon Thani and Nong Khai provinces. The Prime Minister also followed up on progress in the expansion of the Customs House at the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge in Nong Khai Province. The project will accommodate increased trade along the border area, all the way into Vietnam and China, following the formation of the AEC. The project is expected to be completed and able to provide services to the public and travelers next year.

The Prime Minister and her entourage also visited Loei Province to pay respect at the shrine of King Naresuan the Great and to meet with local residents before traveling to Phu Luang Hospital, Phu Luang District, to inspect the quality of public health services in rural areas. Equality in health services is especially crucial during the cold season.
