Pattaya is looking for the owners of seven vehicles near the railway parallel road to get them to move the vehicles.
Pattaya municipal police chief Pol. Maj. Jeerawat Sukontasap on Nov. 17 visited the area in the Ban Nernrodfai Community where residents complain the road has been narrowed by the cars left on the street for the past two years.
But instead of simply towing away the vehicles, perhaps because the city doesn’t want to get stuck with the bill, Jeerawat said the city will hunt down the owners to get them to move the cars themselves.
That’s going to take time: While all the cars are registered, authorities had no luck finding any of the owners so far.
Most of the cars are Volvos, leading to supposition they were never claimed after being repaired in a nearby garage.
