Still no moose at Phoenix Gold but the course is in great condition. The course was almost empty today, so it was just go to the tee block and hit off. It was extremely hot out there with no wind until a little breeze sprang up toward the last few holes.
With only two groups playing, we were around in about 3 and ฝ hours. There is still a little ongoing maintenance happening but it is all clearly marked as GUR so no mistakes could be made.
Only 2 golfers didn’t score over 30 points, one nearly beating the Cripple’s score of 7 points on the front nine, but a par on the ninth sorted that out and he matched the 7.
Taking 2nd place today was Tim Knight with 35 points; his best score for a while.
The little French General, Gerard Lambert, came to play and scored a fine 38 points to take the top spot.
