PSC golf from The Billabong Golf Bar
Monday, Dec. 23, Silky Oak – Stableford
A deserted Silky Oak on Monday with four groups playing made it feel like millionaire’s golf. The condition of the course was magnificent and even though the greens were lightly sanded they were running fast and true. With a light breeze blowing the day turned out great for everybody.
Karen Craigie and Alan Beck were playing their first game with us this trip and ‘Becky’ took the day’s honours, which probably meant separate rooms later that night – you can’t take money off your girl and expect to get away with it!

The scores were fairly good overall with a count back on 38 points seeing John Anderson take the top prize over Alan Beck, both having 22 points on the back nine but John getting the nod with 15 on the last six. Third place went to Owen Walkley with 35 points and fourth was taken by Capt Bob with 34, his best score for a long time.
There was only one ‘2’, coming from Owen Walkley.
