Pattaya School No. 11 celebrated its 36th anniversary with a two-day festival attended by educators from around the city.
Principal Jirasak Jitsom welcomed guests to the Jan. 23-24 celebration, which featured educational booths, lectures and stage performances.
A group of students kicked off the event with speeches in Thai, Chinese, English and Russian. There were also cultural and traditional performances plus a history lesson on the beginnings of Pattaya.
Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome sounds the gong to open the festivities.
Other entertainment included an academic talent show educational quiz by students from Pattaya schools and assorted games.
The main focus, however, was on education, with booths sponsored by companies such as Sahapat, which look at the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community, and knowledge exchanges. The open house also featured lectures by professors Jeera Hongladarom and Phimpan Dechakupt.
