Pattaya locals and tourists were walking and eating again as Naklua’s weekend street fair returned.
The Naklua Walk & Eat was suspended in late December as a second coronavirus wave washed across Thailand. It returned March 13 and will continue every Saturday and Sunday through April 25.
Traffic between the Lan Po Market to the Long Bridge is closed from 4-10 p.m., allowing people to stroll, shop, eat and enjoy live music. The first weekend back saw a bustling scene, with people shopping for seafood and locally made products.
Art and cultural shows play out at the Government Savings Bank stage at 7 and 9 p.m. each night with folk singer Lumyai Haithongkum scheduled for March 27 and Pongsit Kumpee on April 25.
A second stage at the Naklua Old Market features Thai music from 6-10 p.m., while the Long Bridge stage offers live instrumental music from 7-10 p.m.
