Suddenly in Pattaya, skate parks are everywhere.
Two weeks after Central Festival Pattaya Beach turned the front of the mall into a skate park, Pattaya City Hall has done the same at Bali Hai Pier, complete with custom graffiti.
Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome opened the new recreational area March 17, welcoming skateboarders, rollerbladers and longboard grinders to kickflip to their hearts’ delight.
The skate park at the South Pattaya jetty’s multipurpose zone is meant to supplement the new extreme sports area under the pier flyover a short distance away.
