After a 9 month drought recovering from knee surgery Peter Henderson finally managed 2 wins this week. His first came on Monday at Green Valley where his fine 40 point round saw him take victory by one from Paul Walia.
Wednesday & Thursday, Jan. 29-30 – Soi Dao G.C.
Wednesday was the first day of our 2-day outing to beautiful Soi Dao. It is always a pleasure to play this golf course and it is hard to tell which is the signature hole since there are so many of them.

After his first win on Monday, Peter Henderson went even better and demolished the course with 44 points including an eagle on the final hole. Second place went to Ted Gardner (8) with 36 points and Mark Williams (9) took third with 35 points.
On Thursday we teed off again at Soi Dao and Dave Hester (12) took the honours with 34 points. Runner up was Vincent Smyth (13) with 32 points, beating Mark Williams (9) on count back.
As we said 2 years ago, it will be easier to get there when the dual carriageway is finished but then it may be a life-long construction.
Friday, Jan. 31, Green Valley – Stableford
1st Jack Butler (16) 41pts
2nd Mike Philipps (13) 39pts
3rd Phil Cawse (17) 38pts
4th Bruce Tollitt (20) 37pts
A return to the society’s home course on Friday saw Jack Butler take top spot with a sparking 41 point round to finish 2 up on Mike Philipps in second. Phil Cawse and Bruce Tollitt completed the podium in that order.
